Catalpa is a small fine dining restaurant located in a little red brick house in Arrow Rock, Missouri, a village of 56 people on the Missouri River at the very beginning of the Santa Fe Trail. We have 8 tables in the dining room, and one Chef’s Table in the kitchen (which seats 4-6 people, and needs to be booked ahead). We also have a screened porch and brick patio, which we utilize when weather permits. Our menu is eclectic, and varies with the seasons. We use local produce whenever possible, and our beef, veal, chicken (and soon prawns) all come from Missouri family farms. We pride ourselves on creating lasting memories for our customers through our food, service, and fun, laidback atmosphere and attitude. We are definitely not a “stuffy” place, and want you to feel free to laugh with us (or at us) when you come here to dine.
Given that we have so few tables, and we make everything on our menu in-house with the anticipation of your arrival, it is important to make reservations. You can read more about this in the "Reservation Requests" section.
